When you sign up for the service, you can choose to use a PC Box you already own, or we can arrange for an appropriate PC Box from one of our hardware suppliers.
If we arrange the Box for you, the Box will arrive with the software pre-installed. If you have chosen to use your own Box, we will send you a CD in the post or we can make it available in a form that you can download for you to create your own CD. Once you have the CD, we will talk you through the few simple instructions to load the software onto the Box.
We connect remotely over the Internet to set up the server(s) to meet your requirements. If you require further work to be done, just pick up the phone and again we remotely connect to the server to make the changes you requested.
During normal operation we would ask that you keep the Box connected to the Internet so that we can monitor that it is functioning correctly, but should you Internet connection fail for any reason, the server will continue to function normally.
This managed Backup Service allows you to backup all the desktops and laptops in your network.
ALL YOUR COMPUTERS ARE COVERED
We can backup every computer on your network including laptops. Backups are transferred to a secure central storage point within your office.
COMPLETELY AUTOMATED SERVICE
You don't have to remember to do anything because there is nothing for you to do. There are no tapes or any other media to change, your backups are stored on the backup server's hard disks.
BACKUPS ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE
Files can be recovered from your backups in seconds. You simply connect over the network to a shared folder on the backup server and browse to the file you need.
WE DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU
We discuss and assess your needs. We install a backup server at your premises. We configure desktops and laptops so they are automatically backed up over network. Once installed we continue to look after the backup system for you. If you want to update the system, give us a call, tell us what you need and we can remotely update the system for you.
NO STORAGE LIMITS
Should you need more storage for your backups we simply add additional internal, external or networked hard disks.
OPTIONAL OFF SITE 'FIRE & THEFT PROTECTION'
To protect against hardware theft, fire and other disasters, backups can be replicated over the Internet to another backup server at a remote site. The remote site could be another office, the home of a trusted member of staff or any other site of your choosing.
